Samantha "Sam" Spiegel

Samantha “Sam” Spiegel brings more than 25 years of experience working with dogs in training, education, and volunteer settings. She is a Certified Professional Dog Trainer (CPDT-KA) and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology from Allegheny College and a Master’s degree in Education from Johns Hopkins University. Her academic and professional background strongly informs her training style, with an emphasis on clear communication, thoughtful coaching, and evidence-based learning.

Sam joined The Coventry School after first experiencing the program as a client, completing multiple classes and continuing her education within the Coventry community. She was drawn to the school’s commitment to positive reinforcement, sound science, and a collaborative, lifelong-learning culture. In her role as a Group Instructor, Sam focuses on helping owners build confidence, clarity, and trust in their relationships with their dogs. She is especially passionate about coaching handlers to apply training skills effectively at home while strengthening the human–dog bond through positive, engaging instruction.
